Winter Safety Reminder: Keep a Clear Path to Your Fill Pipe!
At HEAT USA, we understand that comfort begins with reliable service, especially during the cold temperatures of January. To ensure your heating oil arrives on time without any delays, it’s important to keep your driveway and pathways clear of snow and obstacles. A clear, accessible route allows your drivers to deliver your fuel efficiently, ensuring your home stays warm and worry-free all season long!
Shoveling Safety is Winter Safety!
Your safety is our priority at HEAT USA. As you prepare to clear your pathways this winter, we encourage you to follow these essential shoveling tips for a safer experience:
1. Warm up your muscles before you begin.
2. Whenever possible, push the snow instead of lifting.
3. When lifting, bend at the knees and use your legs, not your back.
4. Take a break after 20–30 minutes of shoveling.
5. Listen to your body—if you’re tired or something doesn’t feel right, stop.
6. Shovel as soon as possible after the storm ends, when the snow is lightest and fluffiest.
If you’re unable to shovel your walkways, please ask a friend or neighbor for help and notify us in advance. HEAT USA appreciates your efforts in keeping your sidewalks, paths, and driveways clear for your delivery drivers and service technicians.
Stay warm and safe!
